Taiwanese style steak with black pepper or mushroom sauce over it. Good taste, very friendly staff and you also get a soup of the day and ice tea for free with your steak. no much other to say, will come back.

Whenever I crave for that specific Taiwanese style sizzling steak smothered with black pepper sauce over spaghetti noodles, this place hits the spot. They have a combo of sizzling beef and fish with soup and drink for less than $30. I usually pair it up with their Taiwanese style Oyster pancake.

Loved their Taiwanese night market style sizzling steak, which I don’t think it’s easy to find these days anymore. The steak came with an egg, corn, pasta, corn soup and a complementary black or green tea of your choice. They have a big menu, they also sell stinky tofu (and even bbq stinky tofu) braised pork rice, beef noodles and so many Taiwanese street food. Oh they also have Taiwanese bentos with pretty reasonable prices too. Most importantly, the flavors were authentic. Will be returning soon!!

February 23 update: Prices holding, no increase since last time I visited. Steak remained good to very good. Black pepper sauce is now pepper forward. I'd prefer less kick. Crispy chicken with basil leaf is very good to excellent. Recommended. Street food experience in a shop. ordered fish and steak. Fish was so so but steak was brill. Firmly recommended. Only quibble is black pepper sauce is slightly under seasoned but easily fixed with a sprinkle of salt, but will try mushroom sauce next time. Soup and iced tea included. Update: steak with mushroom sauce and steak this time. More tender than pork chops. Of the three sides ordered, Basil popcorn chicken is excellent and firmly recommended, oyster omelette is okay and last is BBQ sausage. Prices crept up a little. Firmly recommended

It’s okay. When missing Taiwan, you can come. Stinky tofu is good but the kimchi on top of tofu is not authentic.

Sizzling steak is a Taiwanese dish and its signature flavor is the black pepper sauce. Throw in a mini lobster tail and an egg on top of spaghetti, and this is a great surf and turf. I craved this dish! I must say that it satisfied me tremendously. You’d think that’s all I need, but no, I’m in LA to EAT! Good thing I got friends to share because I couldn’t have finished all those dishes. This place has tons of things on its menu, perhaps too many items. It’s difficult to master and perfect all those items. I would have given this place a 5-star based on the sizzling steak, but some of the other items were so-so. Hence, it’s only 4 stars. The stinky tofu wasn’t that stinky. The fried pork intestines were a nice touch. I liked the pork blood cake though. Good thing we had 2 of those cuz I think I “accidentally” finished one by myself. Had a great time as I met up with high school friends to dine here. Would I come to this place again? Yeah, even just for the sizzling steak! Thinking about the steak makes me salivate already… but I guess I wouldn’t mind eating some other items either. :P

First and foremost my best friend and I stumbled across this resturant by accident. We decided to take a chance and boy it did not dissapoint. It was spectacular. The staff here is so friendly they are so welcoming. Amazing tawainese food. We ordered the lunch boxes and it includes a drink. The black tea was brewed to perfection. Perfect amount of sweetness. The food was amazing. Of course we ordered the fried shrimp and the basil popcorn chicken. Omg. I have been craving these items for such a long time. Reminded me when I visited a friend's home and this hit home so much. Everyone here is so thoughtful and attentive. They strive to take care of you alot. I am def going to come back and bring more friends to support this amazing place. So if your in the area and are reading this goo get yourself some good comfort food.
